Amanda’s desire is to see others come to intimately worship Him, and she believes God has called her to lead others to His throne through music and song. She wants to see people of all ages worshiping the Lord with all that they are…worshiping Him "in spirit and in truth."
Amanda’s desire has always been to understand what loving the Lord, with all that she is, truly means. When she was sixteen God urged her to surrender to His calling on her life to serve Him in ministry. Since then God has given her many opportunities to minister to children, youth, adults, women’s groups, and even people in other countries. She will never forget the challenge of her former youth pastor, to be “available and obedient” to God.
In 2009 she went through six different medical problems in a matter of three months. She was changed through her time of awareness of her utter dependence on the Lord. She worships the Lord through writing songs of praise that come from her experiences, and from seeing how He has made Himself known to His people.
Amanda is married to Johan, a high school Spanish teacher, who is also the children and family minister at their church. They have three children, whom she homeschools. She is also slowly gaining her prerequisites for nursing school, so that she might become a nurse when she goes back to work.
